To make a long story short, Lovely Wife's mother had several blood clots in her lungs. The doctors and nurses at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida showed great urgency and tried everything they could, but she passed away at about 1:15am.
It's been a sleepless night for all of us, but she was a strong Christian woman, yet had been in constant pain with various ailments for the past few years.
All in all, her death was merciful and quick. The doctors were able to medicate her to relieve her pain and she finally just went.
James 4:14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-15 (New International Version)
13Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. 14We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

My condolences to you, and especially your Lovely Wife's family.
I never met Lovely Wife's mother, but I shed two tears for her this Sunday morning.
The first because she's not here to see the beautiful sun that rose today, and the second because she is in a place with unfathomable beauty, and our Savior, and I want to see that with all of my being.
Prayers for your family.
I'm so sorry. What a tragic event.
My thoughts go out to you and your family.
Condolences to your wife and your family during this difficult time.
Thanks everyone. Lovely Wife is doing well, her sister's having a really hard time though.
I too send my condolences and just want to say that you picked 2 perfect scriptures that tell the hope that is found in the Lord.
Your Lovely Wife and her blessed family are in my prayers. Having a loved one pass on is never easy. It is comforting to know that they are now in God's glory. Praise the Lord for faith and hope.
