Today is my Father's birthday. He would have been 72 years old.

Happy birthday Daddy. I'm a lucky man to have had you as my father. I still miss you and want to tell you things. I look forward to seeing you again.

I'm sorry about your Father. I am thankful that I was 32 before my Father passed away. I got to know him while I was an adult, not just as a kid. I truly realize what a blessing that is.

Marsha has mentioned your Dad many times and I feel ,after having formed a friendship with her and after reading your blog on a daily basis, that he would have been the best of both of you all rolled up into one great person, that I would have been honored to know.

OMG, I didn't see this yesterday morning when I checked in. I'm just now seeing it! I thought about Daddy all day yesterday. I miss him so much it kills me sometimes! I wish he could see our kids, how well they've grown up. I thought of a hundred different things yesterday about him. Once again, you have reduced me to a sobbing heap! I love you Daddy! Happy Birthday!

Thank you Glenn. Since we lived in Atlanta when I started school again, I really, really, wanted to go to Georgia Tech. But. We had a better situation all around by moving back to Monroe, and me going to Louisiana Tech.

I will never regret it, because all of us got to see Dad a lot in what turned out to be the final two years of his life. I will never, ever, ever, regret having gone back to Louisiana. Plus, it turned out that my Father-in-Law passed away a couple of years later too, so having been there for the girls to have that time with their Grandads is priceless.
