A Trip to the Beach

It's spring, and you want to go to the beach to sit for a while.

Look north along the coast.

Look south along the coast.

Look out over the Atlantic itself, and imagine Africa over there somewhere.

Go ahead an let that cold Atlantic water wash up around your feet and ankles. It's still cold yet, but it'll be warm enough to swim in without hypothermia soon.

But for now, get the feel of it rushing around your ankles as it sweeps back into the ocean.

Wow. How beautiful! I can feel it on my ankles just from your photos!

I'm not too far from Lake Michigan, but just not a big fan of the beaches here. They are a little on the dirty side and half the time there's some water problem so you can't even go in the murky green water :)

But, what you photographed...now THAT's a beach :)

Maybe you're going to the wrong beaches of Lake Michigan, rock chick. We LOVE the big lake. The cool thing about Lake Michigan is that it can be a totally different place from one day to the next. For the best results, head up to areas around New Buffalo, Michigan. It's very nice up there--and clean.

LSB, your pics make me long for ANY beach right now.

This remind me, I haven't been there for while, (well, just passing by every day). Maybe it's time to go there for photos...

I love the first one that the wave caught the light. (I might crop off the foreground.) Nice shot!
